CHAPEL HILL AREA CHAPTER
of North Carolina
The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.
We are a national nonprofit, self-help organization with almost 600 local chapters.
The Chapel Hill Area Chapter of The Compassionate Friends meets at 7:00-8:30 PM on the third Monday of every month.
Location: Evergreen United Methodist Church, 11098 N US 15-501 Hwy, Chapel Hill - Just south of Mann's Chapel Road
Our next meetings will be October 18 and November 15, 2010.
Our meetings are open to all family members who are grieving the death of a child.
There is no religious affiliation and no dues or fees. There are a free chapter lending library and a free bi-monthly newsletter. We want everyone to feel comfortable so feel free to bring a supportive family member or friend with you.We offer a safe place for bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings to meet and talk freely about your child and your grief issues. No one is required to speak, but non-judgmental listening is expected.
Come celebrate our children at this very special concert presentation by Alan Pedersen. Any one who has lost a child will benefit from hearing Alan's message and music.
If you missed his performance in Durham, or just want to see him again, he will be in Raleigh at Hayes Barton Baptist Church on October 21 at 7PM
